SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection consists of a three page letter, written April 23, 1938, by Frank Beckwith to Louise Stegner of Omaha. He tells what little he knows of his father, Asahel C. Beckwith, and his connection with the Union Pacific Railroad as a contractor for Chinese labor. Other topics described in the letter include his time as commission merchant and partner in Beckwith, Quinn and Company, which was organized in 1875 at Evanston, Wyoming.
