BACKGROUND NOTE
Ezra Corydon Twamley, son of John and Iola Twamley, was born at Fremont, Nebraska, on October 21, 1877. He married Jane Bennett in Omaha on May 1, 1903. Twamley spent his career in the grain industry. He served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Twamley-Dawson Grain Company and as Secretary and Treasurer of J.F. Twamley, Son & Company, wholesale grain dealers in Omaha, Nebraska. Ezra C. Twamley died in 1962 and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Omaha.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of one manuscript box of material and three scrapbooks dating from ca. 1900 to 1947. The collection includes programs and souvenir albums from various plays and performances attended by Mr. and Mrs. Ezra C. Twamley. This material relates directly to presentations of the Brandeis Theater, the Omaha Drama league, and the Lucius Pryor Concert Service. There are programs from plays produced in 1900 including, A Royal Family, Twelfth Night, and Ben Hur.
