BACKGROUND NOTE
The Hebron Telephone Company was incorporated on April 1st, 1905. In 1907 the Thayer County Telephone Company filed a claim against the Hebron Telephone Company for the sum of $5900. The Thayer County Telephone Company claimed that the Hebron Telephone Company had fraudulently and illegally placed on the market, shares of construction stock at $50 per share, which the Thayer County Telephone Company now owned. The Hebron Telephone Company was forced to sell off assets to repay the Thayer County Telephone Company.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection consists of two folders of records relating to the Hebron Telephone Company. Included are articles of incorporation and bylaws, correspondence, financial information and a minute book recording the stockholder meetings. The materials in the collection date from 1905 to 1908.
