BACKGROUND NOTE
The Round Table Club of Crete, Nebraska, founded in August of 1884, is one of the earliest women’s organizations in the state. The purpose of the organization was the improvement of the ladies’ literary knowledge and appreciation.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection consists of two boxes of records of the Round Table Club of Crete, Nebraska. The records date from 1884 to 1932 and include Secretary’s books, an account book, correspondence, constitution and by-laws, programs and miscellaneous other items. The secretary’s books contain minutes of meetings of the club.
