SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The manuscript portion of this collection contains documents, 1940-1947, relating to Grant W. Peacock's training, apprenticeship and licensing to work as a barber in Nebraska. Includes applications, certificates, etc., and a postcard from his father to the licensing board regarding Grant's military service. Also includes his high school diploma, and a photocopy of an interview with Grant Peacock by Linda Ramos Camacho. The interview explores his experiences as a soldier in World War II. Two portraits are attached to the licensing materials. See also the photo component [RG2368.PH] for additional images. The Nebraska History Museum houses a small collection of materials relating to the Peacock family. Not all items are on display.
