Beginning Saturday, May 17th, come along with NSHS historical guides as they share the stories and the events that took place at Camp Robinson, now known as Fort Robinson State Park, in the late 1800s. Starting at the Old Parade Grounds from 9 AM to 12 PM and the Blacksmith and Harness shop at 1 PM, they will cover the beginnings of Fort Robinson, the layout and duties that were performed there, the Red Cloud Agency, the surrender and death of Crazy Horse, and the Northern Cheyenne Breakout.
Starting on May 22nd, tours will be available from 9 AM to 12 PM on Thursdays and Saturdays (until Aug. 30), and from 9 to 11 AM on Wednesdays and Fridays (until July 12) at the Old Parade Grounds. The historical guide will be located around the three log buildings on the Old Parade Grounds, which is southwest of the Fort Robinson Lodge.
