Author Jeff Barnes will present a program “Forts of Nebraska” on September 2, 2023, at 4 pm at the Fort Robinson History Center.
Barnes’s presentation will tell the story of more than a dozen of Nebraska’s military posts including Fort Robinson and how these forts were among the first, last and most important of the history of the Great Plains.
This presentation is made possible by Humanities Nebraska, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and History Nebraska as part of the Humanities Nebraska Speakers Bureau.
“Forts of Nebraska” is one of approximately 300 programs offered through the Humanities Nebraska Speakers Bureau. The more than 165 available speakers include acclaimed scholars, writers, musicians, storytellers and folklorists on topics ranging from pioneer heritage to ethics and law to international and multicultural issues, making it the largest humanities speakers bureau in the nation.
