Meet History Nebraska curators and archivists who can answer questions like “What’s in History Nebraska’s archives?” “How do I access these amazing resources?” “How do I preserve my family photos?”

See highlights from the Photograph, Manuscript, and Library Collections.

Get a sneak preview of History Nebraska’s new online Collections search portal.

Meet History Nebraska’s Director & CEO, Trevor Jones, and Board of Trustees President, Lance Bristol.

Due to social distancing concerns, this year’s events will be held at the Nebraska History Museum. Masks are required, and we are asking that attendees register for one of three 1-hour time slots for the archives “tour”, and/or one of five 20-minute time slots if you care to attend the annual membership meeting. The number of attendees for each time slot is limited.

About History Nebraska
History Nebraska was founded in 1878 as the Nebraska State Historical Society by citizens who recognized Nebraska was going through great changes and they sought to record the stories of both indigenous and immigrant peoples. It was designated a state institution and began receiving funds from the legislature in 1883. Legislation in 1994 changed History Nebraska from a state institution to a state agency. The division is headed by Interim Director and CEO Jill Dolberg. They are assisted by an administrative staff responsible for financial and personnel functions, museum store services, security, and facilities maintenance for History Nebraska.
