Auctioneer
Arthur W. Thompson (1886 - 1970) was born near Bradshaw, Nebraska and was the first ag-related inductee to the Nebraska Hall of Fame.
He studied at York College and the Lincoln Business College before joining an auctioneer business in York for three years.
In his 46-year career, Thompson called more than 7,500 livestock sales from New York to California and from Canada to Mexico. The World's Who's Who recognized him as "the leading purebred livestock auctioneer in the United States and Canada."
